Anna Kovacs, originally from Hungary, serves as the Product Marketing Manager for professional and digital services such as e-Gro and GroSens at Grodan. Having joined Grodan just over a year ago, Anna’s decision was driven by her interest in working within an industry dedicated to sustainable solutions that address environmental challenges. “I wanted to work at a company that prioritizes products with a positive environmental impact,” Anna shares.
Anna was pleasantly surprised when offered a role that perfectly matched her profile. “I think it is a good sign that I was offered a different position than the one I applied for, one that better fits my profile and ambitions. It shows that Grodan takes candidate matching quite seriously,” Anna explains. In her dynamic role, Anna goes beyond typical marketing tasks such as content marketing, media planning, and strategic planning. She also handles product management related tasks and writes proposals for pricing and positioning for new product launches. “I work across multiple functions and regions, collaborating with teams globally.” She continues: “Despite having many marketing members situated abroad, we maintain close and effective collaboration, which contributes to the success of our initiatives.”
What sets Grodan apart for Anna is its supportive and collaborative culture. “Grodan is just a great place to work,” she asserts. “It’s very international, offering diverse responsibilities and lots of opportunities for growth.” Despite its global reach, Anna emphasizes the familial atmosphere within the organization. “I feel valued and trusted, even though I’ve only been here for a year.”
The most exciting aspect of Anna’s role? Continuous learning and immersion in new topics. “Every day, I pick up new skills, especially in areas related to software and hardware product management,” Anna shares. Anna’s enthusiasm peaks when she visits greenhouses and engages with customers, where she feels the direct impact of her work. “And I love vegetables myself, so that’s super cool,” Anna adds with a smile.
